TobenONE M4 MacBook Dockingstation Dual-Monitor 4K@60Hz - UDS038M

Solid All-Around Dock with Great Performance, Just a Few QuirksI've been testing this dock with my 2023 MacBook Pro (M2 Pro, macOS 15.5) in a professional studio setup. Data speeds are excellent—I got 844 MB/s write and 725 MB/s read using a 10Gbps USB-C port, nearly matching direct-to-computer speeds. Ethernet performance is solid too (853x65 on a 1000x75 line), though I had to restart the dock twice to get it working initially.Charging is consistent at 75W, which works well for clamshell mode, but a higher wattage option for faster charging would be great. Thermals have been fine—even after long sessions with multiple devices connected. My main issue is with display limitations. I use a 3440x1440 ultrawide, and while it works fine alone, connecting a second monitor causes both to cut out. This seems to be a macOS limitation, not necessarily a dock flaw, but it's something to note if you rely on dual displays. The design could use tweaks: short host cable limits desk setup options, rear cables can lift the front, and the status light isn't very clear. But overall, it's a strong performer and a clean one-cable solution for power users—just shy of perfect.

Its great. First of all, it comes in a double type C connector. It works out of the box, you dont need to install suspicious apps etc. Also both USB C connector will cover 2 displays, charging, ethernet and data ports which gets more space on your desk.It had minimalistic and enough of ports to cover all my needs.

Wow, this dock is super fast. I'm running a MacBook M3 Pro with 18 GB of Ram, and its humming really fast with this dock. I've connected a keyboard, mouse, two 4K monitors (one HP 32" and an LG 27") external speaker, Logitech Pro webcam, Brother Printer, IPhone, Alexa, eero 7 Satellite Network hub, and a back-up drive; all were immediate plug and play and run really fast. I highly recommend this dock, you will bot be disappointed... and a great value for the money!

This works very well with my Apple M3pro MacBook Pro laptop. The port layouts are placed very well, with the right ports in the back for permanent connections and convenient ports in front for those devices that are used temporarily. I is a nice smaller form factor. When the Mac wakes from a sleep state, all the devices are recognized and the monitors are powered on automatically, (This was not the case with a docking station from IOGEAR.)Customer service is the best that I have ever experienced from any Amazon provider. (I have purchased other products from them.)

I bought this docking station for my home office where I swap my personal Macbook Air with my business Macbook Pro (M1 Max) and it is absolutely solid. It is smaller, but runs cooler than my previous dock with more connectors. It is thoughtuflly designed to rest horizontally, which is more stable with multiple USB-C and USB-A adapters in the front as well as SD card slots. In the back is 2.5G Ethernet (major upgrade) and additional power, USB, and multiple HDMI ports. It runs multiple monitors for both the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro flawlessly. The only drawback is that it uses two host USB ports instead of one, but honestly with all the ports available on the hub, there is no lack of ports available so it is pretty meaningless that it uses two adapters on the MacbookGreat device!

I've had a previous version of this hub/dock for the last couple of years and although it worked just fine, I was interested to test this new version out as it has some changes - notabiy higher network and data speeds, a 20W USB-C charging port, a power button for itself. an included 100W charger (as opposed to using your computer charger to power it in the previous model) and being horizontal in orientation instead of vertical. As a note, this was tested using my MacBook Pro M3 with a dual monitor set up and a number of peripherals including label printers and barcode scanners. This is a great upgrade and improvement on previous models for me. I find the horizontal orientation more stable and it "hides" behind my laptop stand meaning it is a cleaner looking desk set up for me. The additional of a power button is a small thing but it does make a difference as it means I can shut it down at night and it will thus also shut down power to the USB equipment plugged in (as otherwise the power to the desk stays on).I've found that the hub seems faster to respond....meaning that when I plug the connecting cable into my laptop, the monitors come on faster than in the previous version - even if only by a split second or more, it is a noticeable improvement.Overall, I would say that if you have a permanent desk set up with a lot of peripherals you need plugged in you cannot go wrong with this model.

I ordered this dock for to use with my MacBook Pro 14" M3 Pro. I works flawlessly with my 2 screens and Mac screen.  I love that it has built in SD card slots, and fast ethernet port.  It is attractive on the desktop and it is a great value for all of the ports that are on the dock. I picked it over others due to its many features and the past customer service and support that Tobenone always gives I reccomend!

I am thoroughly impressed with the UDS038M docking station. From the moment I unboxed it, the attention to detail in its design was evident; both the docking station itself and its packaging are beautifully crafted, with the Power LED on the front panel being a particularly nice touch. The innovation continues with the power supply module. It's incredibly compact for a 100W unit, boasting a neat design that defies its power output. Even the LED indicator on the power adapter is charming – a small detail that speaks volumes about the overall quality.Functionality-wise, the UDS038M performs exceptionally. I tested various monitors with both HDMI-1 and HDMI-2 ports, and the dock detected every single one without a hitch. Connectivity is ample, with a sufficient number of USB-A and USB-C ports to handle all my peripherals.I particularly appreciate the thoughtful placement of the Audio In/Out and SD connectors on the front, making them incredibly convenient to access.Another standout feature is the dual USB-C cable for Host1 and Host2, which makes connecting to my MacBook computers a breeze. This is a brilliant design choice that enhances usability.Honestly, after putting this docking station through its paces, I couldn't find anything wrong with it. The UDS038M is truly an excellent product that delivers on all fronts – design, performance, and user convenience. Highly recommended!

This dock is fantastic. Everything connects instantly — dual monitors, USB devices, external drives — with no glitches or dropouts. It charges my MacBook quickly and looks great on the desk. I've tried other docks, and this is by far the most reliable and well-built. Highly recommend!

Great docking station for MacBook pros. It has plenty of both USB-A and USB-C ports to connect whatever you need and they have the newer high speed version of those. It lets you connect 2 4k monitors to it without needing to install any kind of software drivers. I have speakers, network cable, mouse, keyboard, external HD, camera, microphone and a speakerphone that records and takes notes from my meetings. This company also has great support! I've had other models of theirs and they helped me troubleshoot the speakerphone recorder.
